8. Skado to Apollon (via Komiaki)
Total duration of this tour is approximately 6.5 hours, 4.5 hours hiking and 2 hours travel by vehicle to and from the mountain village of Skado.
Our trek starts just on the outside of the charming village of Skado, after awhile the path narrows (Monopati), this altitude attracts more annual rainfall than at sea level so we see the Oak and Walnut trees flourish in a green, fertile valley. The route continues towards the village of Komiaki with its mysterious ravines. The terraced gardens are well kept and cultivation is a challenge for the local villagers.
After a short ascent we reach the picturesque village with its many flowers, next to the church we will briefly stop at the Kafenion for refreshment.

Hiking Guide
After our pause at Komiaki we follow the mountain path carefully through “Hill and Dale”, mostly unspoilt countryside where the goats stop and stare as we trek their pastures.
The views are truly spectacular, the bay of Apollonas, distant Islands outlined in a sparkling, turquoise Aegean sea. You only now begin to appreciate the natural beauty of the Island.
After arriving at Apollonas we will be ready and willing to choose one of the specialities on the Tavernas menu. After satisfying our appetites a bus will return us to the village of Skado.

Fantastic day with Stella on the 7 village hike/aroma therapy tour! What a great way to get off the road and experience Stella's beloved Island with all 5 senses. If you take this 6+ hour tour please adhere to Stella's advice and be in shape, bring drinking water and wear appropriate shoes/clothing but don't worry, Stella will keep an eye on you an make sure you are "Ola Kala"!!!

Stella is STELLAR!
Stella is stellar! By that we mean that she is like a star—bright, clear, sparkly, illuminating, ray of light, etc. Stella knows Greece intimately and brought us into its long history and current culture. Along her walks, she knows all people, flowers, and fauna; and she shares them with knowledge, tenderness, and adoration. She has a deep appreciation of the fruits of the land and their meaning for the Greek way of living healthy and joyously. She knows just where the most special villages are and how to enjoy them. Within these villages, she makes it easy to get into “spiritual community” with today’s Greece: which tavernas have delicious food and exactly which stores and art gallery (Fish & Olive) would (and did) appeal to us. Stella is friends with all owners, so she fosters connections and familiarity. Stella is an absolute “must” for those eager to “be” in today’s Greece. Amazing experience!
Hiking with Stella was an amazing experience! We did the Seven villages hike, which is about eight miles, 5+ hours. Stella is incredibly knowledgeable about the local plants, history, industries and archaeology. The scenery was diverse as we walked through several different kinds of landscapes. The meal at the end was divine. Definitely a highlight of our Greece adventure.

Unforgettable
Recently on Naxos. My husband and I planned to hike. Initially, was just going to go by ourselves. However, I saw a post about Naxos hiking with Stella Korre. SO GLAD WE WENT WITH HER!! Her affection for her island is infectious, her knowledge of Naxos and Greek history is captivating, as well as her knowledge of the plants and their uses throughout Naxos history is so interesting! We would have had a good hike, exercise wise, and seen the sights but would have not experienced the hike with all senses as Stella taught us to do. ... Stella is also adorable, so hire a local girl to take you around Naxos hills and villages!! ... OUTSTANDING DAY WITH STELLA!!

Amazing hiking experiences and outstanding guide
Our first hike with Stella was so amazing that we did two more hikes with her during our visit to Naxos--we hiked through the mountains to the beach, to the waterfall, and around the Seven Villages. Stella teaches you about Greek life and culture, the fruits and herbs along the way, the landscape and architecture--a total Greek immersion experience! And at the end of every hike was lunch at a local taberna with authentic Greek food and wine. I would go back to Naxos just to hike with Stella.

Amazing Hike on Naxos
What an amazing hike. When visiting Naxsos hiking with Stella is a must. Stella is a caring and knowledgeable guide.The views of the mountains, the plants along the way and finally the beautiful swim and lunch at the end was memorable. We will definitely do another hike the next time we are in Naxsos.

Never a dull moment with Stella. She is a hidden gem
We hade a great amazing experience on our hike with Stella from Koronos to Lionas Bay. Stella has unlimited knowledge on the botanics, history and geography of Koronos region at Naxos. Our group of 16 greatly enjoyed her passionate story telling and learned so much during the beautiful hike. ended with a dive in the waves of Lionas Bay and a fantastic lunch. Highly recommeded.

Beautiful hikings
I really enjoyed this 2 days walking with Stella, I did 2 différents hikings , one through 7 beautiful villages of Naxos island. Stella knows about medicinal plants and tells stories about the history of the island. The second hiking is a fantastic way from the village of Koronos to the bay of lyonas. Stella is well organized I really had pleasure with her.

Koronos to Liona Bay Hike
We had a wonderful day with Stella. She picked us up at the hotel in Ágios Prokopios and then drove us to Koronos where the hiking started. The marble path is fantastic! Stella makes us feel very relaxed, shows the different villages surrounding the area and provides a lot of “aromatherapy” experiences with the herbs that grow in the area.

My wife and I have been coming to the blessed island of Naxos for 10 years. This year we decided we must make more of an effort to discover more of the island. Stella is a local lady who gave us a brilliant waterfall walk. She is awesome. Knowlegable about everything Naxos, including plants and herbs founds on the walk. Ignore the rest, choose the best... Stella.

General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
Our hikes are mostly on unpaved paths through wild rugged landscapes. For several hours we will hike far away from roads and towns.
Rescue services etc. have no access to the landscapes in which we are traveling. I would therefore like to point out that my guests should wear sturdy hiking shoes (at least sturdy running shoes), suitable clothing (long trousers) and, depending on the weather, rain protection, headgear (headscarf, hat, functional scarf), sun protection (at least SPF30) and carry enough water (at least 1 liter) with you.
If you do not meet these requirements, I cannot take you on the hike.
You could endanger yourself and the hiking group too!

A. Contractual agreement is binding between us once the Online Personal Information Form has been signed and submitted. Also you confirm total understanding and acceptance of the "Terms and Conditions" below.
B. We waiver all responsibility for any personal injury, fatality, loss or damage to personal belongings.
C. We rely upon your healthy participation and trust you have travel risk insurance to include such activities.
D. There will be zero tolerance to any aggressive behaviour, alcohol or drug misuse and we reserve the right to deny participation without reimbursement.
You must declare you are medically fit and you understand that the organiser shall not bear any responsibility for any injury or loss during the tour.
